Introducing my vintage buttons – sourced from an old, unused stock of buttons and buckles, most likely made in France or Belgium.
This set of 20 small vintage buttons showcases a striking blend of earthy green and milky white. The front displays a marbled mix of olive and forest greens with subtle streaks of brown, creating a natural, stone-like effect. The back is a solid milky white, adding a soft contrast. Each button measures 13mm in diameter, made from durable galalith with a smooth, flat surface and two holes for secure attachment. Perfect for adding vintage charm and a touch of color to any project.
And what is casein? Casein, from which galalith buttons are made, is technically a type of plastic but with natural origins. It's derived from milk protein, so while it's a manufactured material, it's not a synthetic plastic like acrylic or polyester. Casein is often classified as a semi-synthetic material, as it combines natural components with a chemical process to create the final product.
NOTE: please note that colours may slightly differ in reality due to variations in screen types and the effects of photography.
