Introducing my vintage buttons – sourced from an old, unused stock of buttons and buckles, most likely made in France or Belgium.
Set of 10 vintage buttons in a pale cream tone, measuring 23mm each. These buttons feature a subtle raised texture with a geometric design of parallel lines, adding a unique touch. Made from durable Galalith, a material resembling antique plastics, they have a two-hole shank and a gently rounded, smooth surface, making them ideal for embellishing jackets, sweaters, or bags with a classic, understated style.
And what is casein? Casein, from which galalith buttons are made, is technically a type of plastic but with natural origins. It's derived from milk protein, so while it's a manufactured material, it's not a synthetic plastic like acrylic or polyester. Casein is often classified as a semi-synthetic material, as it combines natural components with a chemical process to create the final product.
NOTE: please note that colours may slightly differ in reality due to variations in screen types and the effects of photography.
