Antique handmade crochet lace border featuring a repeating pattern of large floral motifs, raised outlines and openwork connecting stitches.

The construction resembles Irish crochet lace, with corded details and small loops worked around the motifs. The lace retains its original fabric heading and was possibly intended for an altar or other church textile.

Measuring 3 metres in length, this piece could be used for antique textile restoration, curtains, clothing or other sewing projects.

Condition: Shows signs of age, including noticeable staining throughout the lace, a few small holes and areas of wear. Please refer to the photographs for details.
