This antique lace panel is handmade from cotton using the tape lace technique, likely produced in Belgium around the early 20th century.

The design features raised tape forming floral and geometric motifs connected by a hand-worked net ground. The pattern repeats along the full length and includes a central medallion motif framed by scrolling elements and floral forms.

Linen insertion bands run along both sides of the lace, suggesting the panel was originally intended to be sewn into garments or household textiles. Pieces like this were commonly used in Edwardian dresses, blouses, decorative runners, or textile panels.
