Introducing my vintage black lace trim. This insertion lace, made around the mid-20th century using the bobbin lace technique, is most possibly French, though the exact origin and date are unknown.

Machine-made in cotton with a sturdy structure, it displays a repeating motif framed by geometric openings. This openwork design adds a delicate, lacy texture, perfect for gothic clothing, costume accents, sewing project, and much more.

Specifications:

Length: 14.5 meters in one continuous length.

Conditions: the lace is in perfect condition and never been used, although it has damage in one part, at about 2 meters to one side (see picture).

Care Instructions: before use, delicately hand wash or soak in mild soap, rinse, and towel dry. Allow it to air dry. Iron afterward if needed.
