Introducing my vintage buttons – sourced from an old, unused stock of buttons and buckles, most likely made in France.
This set of 8 mock horn buttons includes six buttons at 27 mm and two at 25 mm. Each casein button features a domed top with a subtle rim and a smooth, rounded edge, along with a two-hole construction. The buttons showcase a beautiful marbled pattern in warm tones, ranging from light brown to caramel shades. With a mock horn appearance, they are crafted from galalith, also known as casein plastic. This eco-friendly material, derived from milk protein, was popular from the early 1900s to the mid-20th century and is prized for its durability and versatility.
These buttons add character to jackets, blazers, or knitwear and complement classic and vintage-inspired garments effortlessly.
NOTE: please note that colours may slightly differ in reality due to variations in screen types and the effects of photography.
