Introducing my vintage buttons – sourced from an old, unused stock of buttons and buckles, most likely made in France.
Set of 30 small vintage buttons made from galalith, measuring 11mm in diameter. These white buttons feature a classic four-hole design and have a smooth, slightly rounded shape. Perfect for light sewing projects, vintage and historical garments, shirts and blouses, doll clothing and miniatures and children's clothing.
And what is casein? Casein, from which galalith buttons are made, is technically a type of plastic but with natural origins. It's derived from milk protein, so while it's a manufactured material, it's not a synthetic plastic like acrylic or polyester. Casein is often classified as a semi-synthetic material, as it combines natural components with a chemical process to create the final product.
NOTE: please note that colours may slightly differ in reality due to variations in screen types and the effects of photography.
