Introducing my vintage buttons – sourced from an old, unused stock of buttons and buckles, most likely made in France.
This set of 4 vintage buttons features a dome shape that adds dimension and texture to any project. Each button has a classic four-hole design, with slight variations in size and shape that give the set a unique, handpicked feel.
The buttons have a beautiful marbled pattern in earthy brown tones, ranging from deep chocolate to lighter caramel shades. They possess a mock horn appearance, a look often crafted from galalith, also known as casein plastic. This eco-friendly material was popular from the early 1900s to the mid-20th century and is prized for its durability and versatility, as it is derived from milk protein.
Highly desired by vintage enthusiasts, the mock horn effect adds an organic, natural appeal to coats, cardigans, bags, and even throw pillows. These casein buttons are perfect for garment restoration, crafting unique accessories, or adding character to home décor projects.
NOTE: please note that colours may slightly differ in reality due to variations in screen types and the effects of photography.
