Antique handmade religious filet lace, probably dating from the early 20th century.

A long piece of church lace featuring repeated crosses, small floral motifs and a French devotional inscription:

**“Cœur Sacré de Jésus, j’ai confiance en vous”**

*“Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in You.”*

At the centre of the piece is a single Sacred Heart emblem, decorated with what appears to be a crown of thorns. The lace has a scalloped lower edge and a plain fabric heading.

Possibly originally made for an altar frontal or another church textile.

Conditions:

Good antique condition, with some age marks and discoloration, particularly on the fabric heading. No holes or breaks.

Care Instructions:
