Antique handmade filet lace featuring a repeating pattern of fleurs-de-lis, ornamental crosses and scrolling motifs, worked into a fine knotted mesh.

The design runs along a scalloped lower edge, with a plain fabric heading still attached. Its religious motifs make it suitable for an altar frontal, church linen or other liturgical textile project.

A generous 3.6-metre length, preserved in very good antique condition, with a few small age-related spots on the fabric heading.
