  • Dimensions: 190 cm wide × 180 cm long
  • Fabric fiber: pure linen
  • Color: light cream
  • Country of origin: Belgium

This antique Belgian curtain is made from Swiss pure linen with a fine, soft weave that allows light to filter through the panel. The Curtain measures 190 cm wide × 180 cm long and is finished with a narrow lace trim on the vertical edges, a clean top edge and a hemmed bottom.

The curtain features a 20 cm wide Bruges guipure lace insertion, machine-made with scroll and floral motifs connected by bars and picots. This lace belongs to the guipure family, where motifs are joined without a net background, giving the panel a bold decorative element.

All curtains in this collection are antique and authentic, manufactured in Belgium with Swiss linen and Bruges lace. Each piece varies in size and lace design, but all share the same high quality. This panel is in very good condition, selected for its durability and decorative appeal.

This large antique curtain can be used as a window panel, room divider, or decorative textile. It is also valued by collectors, interior designers, and textile artists for reuse in creative sewing and interior projects.

Specifications:

Conditions: Antique, in excellent condition, the linen and the lace are intact. There is a faint spots, likely from the original embroidery process, only visible upon close inspection (shown in last picture)

Care Instructions:

- Preferred: Dry clean, to protect the lace and stitching.

- If washing at home: Hand wash separately in cold or lukewarm water with a mild soap.

- Avoid: Bleach, strong detergents, wringing, or tumble drying — these damage linen fibers and lace.

- Drying: Lay flat on a towel or line dry in the shade (avoid direct sun, which weakens fibers).

- Ironing: Use medium heat while the fabric is still slightly damp, with a pressing cloth if needed to protect the lace.
