Machine-made using the bobbin lace technique of the mid-20th century, it comes from the Retournac/Le Puy-en-Velay region in Haute-Loire, France, known for high-quality lace production.

Its grid-style structure gives it flexibility while maintaining form, ideal for layering, structured inserts, or decorative edges in slow fashion or historical garment construction.
