Introducing my vintage buttons – sourced from an old, unused stock of buttons and buckles, most likely made in France or Belgium.
Set of 7 vintage buttons, 25 mm each, designed with a soft marbled effect that mimics the look of natural horn. These casein buttons have a blend of cream and light beige tones and the four-hole design adds both functionality and style. Ideal for jackets, cardigans, or other sewing projects with a classic and subtle vintage appeal. Their gentle marbling and mock-horn appearance make these buttons versatile additions to any collection.
And what is casein? Casein, from which galalith buttons are made, is technically a type of plastic but with natural origins. It's derived from milk protein, so while it's a manufactured material, it's not a synthetic plastic like acrylic or polyester. Casein is often classified as a semi-synthetic material, as it combines natural components with a chemical process to create the final product.
NOTE: please note that colours may slightly differ in reality due to variations in screen types and the effects of photography.
