This is a set of 12 round antique and French bread doilies. A bobbin lace plate liner, handmade in linen lace in the early part of the 20th century in the traditional bobbin lace-making region of Retournac, Haute-Loire, France. Each doily features a central square of linen fabric surrounded by an openwork bobbin lace pattern. The design includes four symmetrical petal-like motifs around the center, with a delicate border of looped lacework.
